Mike Zvonick

A student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Anderson Goncalves, Zvonick is a tough young fighter with an arsenal of submission holds to use on opponents. In June of '08 at the Max Bell Arena in Calgary, he faced Mike "Rowbo" Rowbotham in the first fight of the evening. Incredibly, Zvonick was able to take the more experienced wrestler to the mat, placing Rowbotham in his guard. The turning of the tables continued there, however, as "Rowbo" forced Zvonick to tap out with an armlock, in a fight where the Jiu-Jitsu fighter out-wrestled the wrestler and the wrestler out-jiu-jitsu'd the BJJ fighter.
